CP Parquet America History
3-ply wood

Italy’s premier supplier of beautiful woods!

What is CP Parquet today was started almost 60 years ago by the Gasparini and Tonella families in in the small Italian town of Crespano del Grappa, nestled in the foot hills of the Italian alps.

The business began as a lumber trading company, sourcing premium logs and milled lumber from the vast forests of what were then the countries of Yugoslavia, Austria, Hungary, and Romania.

The original business was, as it is today, to deal only in the finest and rarest wood species and highest quality logs; a philosophy which then appealed to the best-of-the-best furniture companies in and around Milan.

During the 60s and 70s, the company earned the coveted reputation throughout the country as perhaps Italy’s premier supplier of beautiful woods!

Real wood, the way it should be!

In the 80’s the Company seized the opportunity to go into the business of manufacturing beautiful solid wood floors from the beautiful woods in their supply chain. The business adopted the name “Crespano Parchetti” to honor the deep ties to the centuries-old woodworking traditions in the area.

It did not take long for Crespano Floors to become increasingly popular and renowned throughout the world.

In the late 90s and early 2000s, Crespano Parchetti introduced the innovative 3ply-counterbalanced construction which allowed them to create floorboards with massive widths and lengths. They introduced furniture-quality prefinishing and hand crafted texturing unmatched anywhere else in the world. And they shortened the name of the company to a more contemporary CP Parquet.

Recently, CP Parquet has used its sourcing, and creative engineering capabilities to develop a beautiful line of furniture and accessories.

Through all of this, CP Parquet has become to go-to company for high-end designers and architects who are seeking special, uniquely beautiful floors, furniture, and wood accessories for their clients.
